Loop

on

One, two…One, two, three…
The drummer plays his mild tune…
Minimalistic.

I sit on the white floor of my white room looking at the beige cupboards, and I think and think and think. I lean against one of the beige cupboards while I’m sitting on the white floor of my white room and I dream and dream and dream. I look up at the white ceiling with its beige fan in this white room, while I sit on the white floor and lean against the beige cupboard and my memories swirl and swirl and swirl. I think and think and think of a white room with a white floor and beige cupboards. I dream and dream and dream of leaning against a beige cupboard while I’m sitting on the white floor of the white room. My memories swirl and swirl and swirl like the beige fan on the white ceiling in the white room with the white floor.

This is so perfect I don’t even have the words. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in my own loop…. and you just sketched it perfectly.

Thank you so much Tara. I wanted to write something minimalistic and so I wrote the haiku. Then I thought about minimalistic music and sound repetition and decided to make it a haibun. I’m so glad you could relate to it.

Thanks again Tara. Wait I’ll send you a link of a minimalistic rock piece that inspired it.

  2. Nitin, in the white room,
I’m a fan … as long as there’s black curtains.

Haha. I love Cream. I used to listen to that song on repeat. I even have a CD of their greatest hits somewhere.
