tell tale wonders

Tell me how it feels,
To hold my heart in your hands,
And be so carefree and reckless,
Because I wish I didn’t care, wish it didn’t affect me so boldly,
But every time I find myself clinging to the words you let linger,
Clutching my heart as though it were struck a thousand times,
Feeling the blows as though they were fresh and as painful as the first,
Stop this, stop the lies and vague answers to the questions I’m dying to learn
Because I can’t help but let my imagination wonder
And I never like what I come up.
